Park Permits

Do you want to reserve a park facility for your group's picnic, ballgame, 5k run, ultimate frisbee game or another activity?

Boston's parks are split between two different owners/managers. The city's Boston Parks & Recreation Department (BPRD) oversees about 2,400 acres and the state's MA Department of Conservation & Recreation (DCR) controls another 2,950 acres.

Both have ball fields, picnic areas, walking/jogging routes and other facilities that you can reserve with a permit. To get a permit, you have to  know which agency manages the park you'd like to use.
